THE SCHEDULE PROPOSED

  • Monday 27 April 2020 - Webinar on Capacity building for carrying out interviews
Participants requested: Students (captains and everyone else interested)
Optional participants: Teachers, family members
Length: 1 hour
Activity: students will be tasked to interview their parents using the techniques learnt during the webinar



  • Tuesday 28 April 2020 - Webinar on Capacity building for establishing and maintaining strong home-school collaboration
Participants requested: Teachers
Optional participants: Administrative staff members
Length: 1 hour
Activity: hand-on and interactive workshop with teachers online
  • Wednesday 29 April 2020 - Students' presentation of results
Participants requested: Students and Teachers
Optional participants: Family members, administrative staff
Length: 2 hour (minimum)
Activity: interactive discussions. Students will present the outcomes of their interviews- what when well with the process and what can be improved? what are the aspects that the parents are worried about when it comes to technology? etc.
  • Consortium meeting on 29.04 after the students presentations (30 mins maximum)

TIME CONSIDERATION

Regarding the time since during the morning almost everyone is busy with school-work, etc.  I propose to consider the following starting time for the webinars/meetings each day:
  •  Finland, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey (UTC +3, summer time) at 15:00
  •  Poland, Spain (UTC +2, summer time) at 14:00
  •  Portugal (UTC +0) at 13:00

Nature News - Huge decline in abundance of life on Earth!

  Huge decline in abundance of life on Earth Wildlife populations plunged by 68% between 1970 and 2016, and only 25% of the planet can still be considered ‘wilderness’. The  grim numbers come from a report by wildlife charity WWF and the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) , based on global data on 20,811 populations of 4,392 vertebrate species. Worst hit is Latin America and the Caribbean, where the animal population dropped by an average of 94% during that period. Food production is the biggest driver of nature loss, says the report, with about half of the world’s habitable land area already used for agriculture. “We are wrecking our world — the one place we call home — risking our health, security and survival here on Earth,” says WWF chief executive Tanya Steele.
