Teachers' interview



In the film we try to find out what science is to teachers, can they imagine the world without science and how science helps us in everyday life. We also investigate how far the parents' engagement in the project can be supportive for students' increase of knowledge and interest in science. Do we have that  potential? If so, what activities and other characteristics need to be implied into the teaching and learning process to make teachers' effort a bit more substantive.

Students had 4 bilingual lessons and online workshop based on subject biodiversity .   We were watching the film on TedEd platform and read a scientific article answering for the question why biodiverisity is important?   Then students went to canva platform and their task was to prepare a poster about biodiversity and an infografic presenting why the biodiversity is important to humans .  here you go see the results!

Home Science Mission 2. Family Game

Trip to the nature with parents.  The aim of the activity was to learn together - parents and students - in the local environment. The families explore the nature, know the butterflies species and their local distribution, conditions in which butterflies are active and which species are common and which are rare.  Then students come to school and pin the labels of butterflies on the big map. Then the school coomunity share with their individual findings and learn about the nature from each other. Thank to that all participats also know where are the places/habitats rich in general biological diversity, because the butterflies are perfect bioindicators.
