Please all lock the dates on your calendars. The students are also requested to participate.

A more detailed draft agenda will follow soon in order to allow all enough time to prepare for the meeting (there will be preparation tasks to carry out!)

Dear Students (and teachers!)
In preparation to the upcoming mobility (2-4 December 2020, online) we have prepared some activities to be carried out by international groups. The idea is that the students try to communicate with one another before the mobility starts.

Here is the distribution of the teams and the topic that each pair of teams need to work on together:

Teams                                                             Activity preparation before the meeting
Bulgaria Group 1 + Turkey Group 1             * Present a real-world mystery and your possible
                                                                         solutions to it!

Poland Group 1 +  Lithuania Group 1          * Choose a magic trick to present the science
                                                                        behind it

Greece Group 1 + Poland Group 2              * Choose a magic trick to present the science
                                                                        behind it

Greece Group 2 + Turkey Group 2             * Present a real-world mystery and your possible
                                                                        solutions to it!

Bulgaria Group 2 + Lithuania Group 2      * Choose a magic trick to present the science
                                                                        behind it

Some examples of world mysteries :
  • the pyramids of the world
  • the lines of Nazca
Some examples of magic tricks:
  • egg in a bottle
  • bending water
The idea with this assignment is that the international groups meet at least once before the mobility to try synchronising their views on the given topic (world mystery or magic trick). You can use this BaseCamp platform for this!

@Teachers: please support your students in setting up their respective group 1 and group 2 for each country. The international groups can write to each other in BaseCamp, to sync their meetings (if any) or their views.

Please have a look at it and let me know your views on the different activities that are programmed. Kindly notice that the parents are invited to join on the last day of the mobility 4 Dec 2020. Their views on the project activities so far, their children involvement and engagement, or general expectations will be very welcome to hear.

Pre-tasks for students and teachers
Genius Minute: Students would have the opportunity to come up with the most innovative, weirdest, craziest, or most fun idea to share with others (during the 1st day of the mobility). All will have the opportunity to win a surprise prize :).

International groups work: already detailed here
📢 Mobility 2_ International Groups Work - Data Collection

Presentation of the work carried out: during the first day all partners will present their local progress (@home science missions). The presentation is limited to 10 minutes per partner.

Technical Requirements
That would be great if each individual has access to the internet connection either on their mobile phones or in a computer lab. If not, at least each group needs to have one device connected to the internet.
